Terms & Conditions – Self Drive Hub

1) Definitions

“Self Drive Hub”, “we”, “our”, or “us” refers to the vehicle rental service provider. “Customer”, “you”, or “user” refers to the person booking or using the vehicle. “Vehicle” includes cars and bikes provided on rent.

2) Eligibility

• Customer must be at least 18+ (for bikes) and 21+ (for cars) or as per local regulation.
• Valid Driving License is mandatory during pickup and throughout the rental period.
• We may refuse service if documents are invalid, incomplete, or suspicious.

3) Booking & Confirmation

• Bookings are subject to vehicle availability and confirmation by Self Drive Hub.
• Rates may vary based on season, vehicle type, duration, and availability.
• Customer must provide correct contact and identity details.

4) Documents Required (At Pickup)

• Original Driving License (and/or Digital as accepted by law)
• Valid Government ID (Aadhaar / Voter ID / Passport, etc.)
• Any additional verification may be required in specific cases

5) Security Deposit

• A refundable security deposit may be applicable depending on vehicle type and plan.
• Deposit is refunded after successful vehicle return and inspection (deductions, if any, apply).
• Any damage, fine, challan, cleaning cost, or missing items may be adjusted from deposit.

6) Vehicle Usage Rules

• Vehicle must be used only for lawful purposes and by the registered driver.
• No racing, rash driving, off-roading (unless permitted), or illegal activities.
• Do not carry dangerous/illegal goods or overload the vehicle.
• Smoking, alcohol, or drug use while driving is strictly prohibited.

7) Fuel & Mileage Policy

• Fuel charges are generally borne by the customer unless specified otherwise in the plan.
• Vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as at pickup (if applicable).
• Extra mileage charges may apply if the booking plan has a km limit.

8) Late Return & Extension

• Late return may attract additional hourly/daily charges.
• Extensions must be requested before rental end time and are subject to availability.
• Uninformed extensions or delays can lead to penalties and/or legal action if required.

9) Damage, Accident & Breakdown

• Customer must immediately inform Self Drive Hub in case of accident or breakdown.
• Customer is responsible for damages due to negligent driving, misuse, or rule violations.
• In case of accident, customer must cooperate in police report and insurance formalities.
• Any towing/repair/costs not covered by insurance may be charged to the customer.

10) Traffic Fines / Challans

• All traffic violations, challans, and penalties during the rental period are customer’s responsibility.
• If we receive a challan later, the customer must pay it or it may be deducted from deposit.

11) Cancellation & Refund

• Cancellation policy may vary based on booking type and time of cancellation.
• Refunds (if applicable) will be processed after confirmation and deduction of applicable charges.
• In case of no-show or last-minute cancellation, charges may apply.

12) Cleaning Charges

• Vehicle must be returned in reasonable condition.
• Excess dirt, stains, smell, or interior damage may attract cleaning charges.

13) Prohibited Activities

• Sub-renting the vehicle to others
• Using the vehicle for commercial transport, delivery, or illegal use
• Modifying vehicle parts, removing GPS, stickers, or accessories

14) Liability Disclaimer

Self Drive Hub is not responsible for any personal belongings left in the vehicle. We are not liable for indirect losses, delays, or disruptions due to unforeseen circumstances (weather, traffic, mechanical issues, etc.).

15) Privacy & Data

Customer details provided during booking are used only for service delivery, verification, communication, and support. We do not sell personal data to third parties except where required by law.
